- Whether there is visible infiltration or invasion into surrounding tissue

Hepatocellular carcinoma
Microscopic evaluation
Liver tumor types by relative incidence in adults in the United States.[2]
Hepatocellular carcinoma, typically resembling hepatocytes, with abundant granular eosinophilic cytoplasm.
Hepatocellular adenoma (inflammatory type pictured) may have minor atypia.[3]
