Microscopic evaluation
Microscopically, the nuclei of rhabdomyosarcoma cells are large, round, and vesicular, with a prominent nucleolus.[1] The cells range from small hyperchromatic round/spindle/stellate cells to large differentiated strap/ribbon/tadpole/racket-shaped cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and cross-striations, the latter being termed "rhabdomyoblasts".[1]
