Microscopic evaluation
Look for:
- Look for Helicobacter pylori-like bacteria in the lumen.
- Look for associated inflammation, typically a chronic inflammatory infiltrate with germinal centers (follicular gastritis), and plasma cells in lamina propria.[1]
