Microscopic examination

Histopathology of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) of vulva (left) with full thickness dysplasia, compared to normal epithelium at right.

Mainly look for squamous vulvar intraepithelial lesions, previously classified as VIN 1-3:
